Temperature range: ambient to 60°C. Capacity: fifty-six 1 x 3 ub, (25 x 76 mm) or twenty-four 2 x 3 in. (50 x 76 mm) slides coated with black PTFE fluorocarbon resin to resist corrosion and provide high-contrast background for viewing slides. See-through cover lets you note the progress of slides without interrupting heating. Cover also vented to prevent fogging, tilts back for access and lifts off for easy cleaning. Clearance between cover and deck is 1/2 in. (13 mm). Graduated dial thermometer is mounted on front panel instead of warming surface. Provides more usable surface area, eliminates problem of contaminant buildup on and around thermometer. Usable heated area is 6-1/2 x 23-1/2 in. (17 x 60 cm). Heats from ambient to 40 to 40°C (104 to 113°F) range (commonly used for nonadhesive mounting of sections) in just 15 minutes, and to 54°C (129°F) for dehydrating. Setting adhesives takes 20 minutes. Temperature constancy, ±3°C (±5.4°F). Uniformity, ±2°C (±3.6°F). CSA approved.
